Vincent is one of the last "natural" babies born into a sterile, genetically-enhanced world, where life expectancy and disease likelihood are ascertained at birth. Myopic and due to die at 30, he has no chance of a career in a society that now discriminates against your genes, instead of your gender, race or religion. Going underground, he assumes the identity of Jerome, crippled in an accident, and achieves prominence in the Gattaca Corporation, where he is selected for his lifelong desire: a manned mission to Saturn's 14th moon (titan). Constantly passing gene tests by diligently using samples of Jerome's hair, skin, blood and urine, his now-perfect world is thrown into increasing desperation, his dream within reach, when the mission director is killed - and he carelessly loses an eyelash at the scene! Certain that they know the murderer's ID, but unable to track down the former Vincent, the police start to close in, with extra searches, and new gene tests. With the once-in-a-lifetime launch only days away, Vincent must avoid arousing suspicion, while passing the tests, evading the police, and not knowing whom he can trust...

Brave new world
The DHC, the director of hatcheries and conditioning acts as a teacher, a guide because his students are both obedient and interested indeed. No matter what he says ,they agree so, we guess that every student is stupid, has been brainwashed. As i ‘ve read the book, i know that they have been all conditioned since they were babies for instance, they received electronic shocks if they touched books, flowers and so on and so forth. Sadly enough, in that society they create identical babies, 1 egg generates 96 babies, hence the fact that there is no mother, father or family. Furthermore they are all identified, it means that there are different casts : Alpha- Plus, Alpha, Beta-minus, Epsilon... This is called the Bokanovski process. However, the DHC considers his society as an utopia because there are no wars,troubles,differences...
The question is : would you like to live in that society when you cannot even think by yourself?

Speech
If you're sitting here, it means you want answers. You're here on your own time because you care bout this contry and I want you to be sure I care about it as much as you do. Ypou want to make sure I'll nring real solutions whith me to the whith house, after my speech you will be sure of that. I know i'm not the favorite one but I DO love America and i'm ready to give a lot to our butifful contry.First you have to know that i grew up in military, my father was a pilot, I was a marrin, my son is a marrien, all taht show that i'm truly attached to the United States.
So, at first i'm gone talk about criminal justice reform, this is not a political isue, it is a leadership issue. There are a lot of people in jail but when they will go out people don't what to give them a chance, a job. I think we should to a programm for theme, to those who wonder whether we can or should put such programs into places, my answer is this : Do you want these forme offenders back on the street coming after your money or your life, or do you want them in a job, making money and having a life?
If you vote for me I promess I will fix that.
To put it in a nutshell, if i'm elect as the american president, Iswear Iwill be able to control the United States contrary to Hillary Clinton who cannot even control her husband. So the leadership you can trust ! Vote for me !

my Myth
Once upon a time, there was a firefly which wanted to shine better than the moon. All the fireflies were laughing at Lucinda. To prove that she was not a firefly but a star, Lucinda organised a contest against the best firefly in the beam. An other firefly organised the contest; Firestorm was ready like Lucinda. They started and they flew, went up and up and up, Firestorm was so exhausted that she fell down. Nowadays, the beam has never seen Lucinda back, and now there is a new big star in the sky : Lucinda has achieved her dream indeed.

Myth and heros
I'm going to talk about the notion Myth and heros, first of all, I'm going to give my personal definition of Myth and heros. As for me a myth is a story that may or may not be true it's a traditional story like the Odyssey. It's a fabulous story wich may have a moral. A hero, to my minf is a person who is admired for his courage, bravert and so one.It can also be the main character in a book or a film, he can be a person with superpowers for instance spiderman. Otherwise it can be a modern-day hero, a person who has performed a heroic act like firemens.
Then I would like to talk about power girl a superheroine. After all i'm going to explain the story of 9 african american who fight to get an education.

Pop Art :
This is a pop art of angelina jolie made by Sarah Ouillon in 2014
I create it on "http://www.bloggif.com/". I have chosen to represent Angelina Jolie because she is exceptional. Like marilyn monroe, she is a feminin icon.

Places and forms of power
Places and forms of power
I'm going to talk about the notion Places and forms of power, first of all, I'm going to give my personal definition of Places and forms of power. As for me "places" could be important building or institutions that represent a certain form of power, for example Buckingham Place, a symbol of the American presidensy. A place can also be a contry or a state, for instance the USA is a state which is powerful enough to influence events. Tourought the world. Moreover "Power" id the ability to control others, events or ressources; the ability to make things happen despite obstacles, resistence or opposition. This of course leads to conflicts between those who have power and those who don't .
To illustrate this notion, I would like to talk about a poster about Gun violence. Then i'm going to present a cartoon by Ohman and in the end I'll explain a text about the murder of o young boy.
Poster of Brady Campaign to prevent Gun violence in America
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Second amendement of the american constitution

Space and exchanges
Space and exchanges
I'm going to talk about the notion space and exchanges. First of all, I'm going to give my personal definition of space and exchanges. As for me, a space can be defined through geographical and symbolic areas that all societies occupy.Exchanges are all interactions between men or different societies. With this notion, we can talk about immigration for example.
Now let's answer the key question : To what extent do emigration and immigration influence positively our society?
I would like to talk about an extract from "The death of Josseline" written by Margaret Regan. Then I will present an extract from "Brooklyn" written by Colm Toibin. Finally, my personal document, a picture of Sonia Sotomayor.
Sotomayor and Obama
